USC Telecounseling

The Admissions Office is looking for enthusiastic dedicated undergraduate students to assist with recruitment this year by calling prospective students, admitted students and their parents. (Jose Vidal says: Note that if you are a Computer student, you will only be talking to High School students that have declared interest in majoring in Computers). Applications should possess strong communication skills, enthusiasm for USC, good work ethic, professionalism, and basic computer and telephone skills. Students are required to work a minimum of 2 nights per week during the hours of 5pm-9pm, Monday – Thursday throughout the year, except holidays. Part-time PHP at USC

The Simms Initiatives, a large-scale digital humanities project at USC, is seeking a part-time programmer to develop a modular extension to our asset viewer. The Simms website uses a standard LAMP stack. Experience with PHP and relational MySQL databases required. Applicants will not be considered without PHP examples or samples. We would prefer someone with jQuery (or similar), HTML4+, and CSS experience. We would like to hire someone for up to 15 hours a week for spring semester and are offering $20/hour. We are physically located in the Thomas Cooper Library. While the initial work will be done on behalf of our project exclusively, several other on-campus entities are concurrently in need of similar project solutions.
