Design Lead – Carrier Implementation
The Design Lead leads discovery sessions with carrier representatives in order to capture and document data exchange requirements for carrier partner implementations. These requirements deal specifically with the flow of data between carrier systems and the eEnrollment, eBilling, eDirect, and eSales applications.
The Design Lead is responsible for communicating data exchange requirements to the Benefitfocus engineering team and for working with the Joint Carrier Tester to ensure that test scenarios adequately capture project requirements. The Design Lead serves as the primary point of contact for carrier representatives and for Benefitfocus associates for all requirements questions that surface during development, joint carrier testing, and the transition of the project to the Benefitfocus operations team.
In addition to creating detailed design documents for carrier partner projects, the Design Lead is also focused on process improvement at Benefitfocus. Therefore, the Design Lead is responsible for creating and improving Benefitfocus standard specifications and methodologies, as well as creating and maintaining discovery questionnaires and design templates related to data exchange.
This is a full-time position that requires excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to exceptional organization and time management skills. A successful candidate for this position must posses the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and must have experience with complex systems integration projects.
Responsibilities
.Manage multiple discovery projects simultaneously.
.Lead on-site and over the phone data exchange discovery sessions with carrier representatives.
.Capture and document detailed data exchange requirements for carrier partner projects.
.Work with carrier representatives to resolve open requirements questions and to obtain signoff on requirements documents in accordance with the overall project plan.
.Communicate requirements to the Benefitfocus engineering team.
.Work closely with engineering throughout the development process to answer requirements questions and to ensure successful delivery of data exchange features.
.Communicate project requirements to the Joint Carrier Tester.
.Work with the Joint Carrier Tester to ensure that test scenarios adequately capture project requirements.
.Keep project requirements documents current throughout all phases of implementation.
.Maintain and improve upon Benefitfocus discovery methodologies in order to ensure consistency across implementations.
.Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Benefitfocus eEnrollment, eBilling, eDirect and eSales applications.
.Maintain a thorough knowledge of 834 as well as all Benefitfocus standard data formats.
.Represent Benefitfocus in a courteous, professional manner everywhere.
.Maintain a positive, “can-do” attitude at all times.
.Work a full-time schedule and put in necessary extra time needed to meet project goals and milestones.
