Develop Carolina is a six-month, paid fellowship program that pairs new software developers with on-the-job training, mentorship and support. Fellows are asked to go through a self-assessment and interview process, after which they are paired with a host company and a mentor. During the six-month fellowship, they spend about two days a week on continuing education with their cohort of fellows, and the other three days a week working within their host company. By the end of the fellowship, participants have a holistic understanding of how software is made and certified, real-world experience contributing to a development team.
