Dean Hallman is a Senior Software Engineer working remotely for uLive.com, a division of Scripps Networks Interactive, where he has been instrumental in defining and implementing the company's Big Data strategy, architecture and Insights engine. Prior to Scripps, Dean spent much of his career as an entrepreneur, co-founding or early entrant to several successful startups, including Stingray Software, Pronto.com and most recently, Realgravity.com. Dean is a Columbia native and holds a BS in Electrical & Software Engineering from the University of South Carolina, and a MS in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University.
