Startup Engineering
Pizza, Pitches and The Proving Ground
Tuesday, September 24th; 4:00 - 5:30pm
Swearingen Engineering Center - Room 1A03 (Faculty Lounge)
We all have had our "Eureka!" moments. We all believe we have a solution to a pesky problem or an invention that could make this world just a little bit better of a place. But only some of us follow through and turn those ideas into real, tangible successes. Take that first step with us on Tuesday, September 24th from 4:00-5:30pm.
Let us hear about your Eureka! moments. Whether it’s fascinating research, an interesting invention, or the next great ping pong app for iPhone, we want to hear your story.
Come join tech entrepreneurs Raghav Badiger and Kelly Truesdale of CETi, USC’s Startup Center and Dean Kress of the Faber Entrepreneurship Center for a cool, engaging and completely informal session to share your ideas with a group of your peers spanning the full range of engineering and science disciplines. Don’t have an idea to share? No problem, join us just to listen and be amazed by the talent of the folks roaming the halls around you.
We’ll open up the floor for anyone to talk 2-5 minutes about their idea, what makes it cool, and answer questions from the audience.
We’ll also take a couple of minutes to share some information about The Proving Ground, USC’s entrepreneurial competition, where you can take your idea and compete for $50,000 cash (in seed money) and startup support to turn your idea into a reality.
The pizza and the drinks are on us. You bring the brainpower, and good times shall be had by all. See you Tuesday!
