Position Overview
This position will partner with business users to create and deploy Business Intelligence reporting solutions using SAP Business Objects Explorer and SAP Lumira in a SAP BW on HANA environment. This will include the design and development of information spaces, validation of data, security and setup of user training. Additional responsibilities will include translating user requirements into workable solutions, functional/technical documentation, functional testing, and leading power user training.
This person needs to be customer focused and very responsive to a diversified user community. In addition, excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are required.
Responsibilities:
- Work with key stakeholders on designs to meet the information needs of the business users
- Work closely with the SAP BI Team and external users to recommend reporting solutions based on the capabilities of the SAP Business Objects toolsets
- Design solutions that can be used internally and on mobile devices
- Work with the Business Objects Administrator on defining and building SAP Business Objects solutions using SAP BW on HANA and non-SAP data
- Work with the SAP Business Objects Administrator on all upgrades projects
- Must be capable of debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting complex solutions
- Must be able to resolve problems to meet Service Level Agreements with our customers
- Ability to work at all levels, from development through implementation and support
- Ability to work in a team environment, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel within US and overseas
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Recent college graduate with a Bachelor of Science within one of the following disciplines:
- Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or
- Business Major with a minor in Information Systems
- SAP University Alliance program / coursework is desired
- Desire to work in an Information Systems environment
- Committed to quality customer service and delivery based on project schedules
- Strong problem solving skills with advanced proficiency in analysis and leadership
- Demonstrated experience with a data warehouse
- Demonstrated experience with reporting toolsets
- Demonstrated experience within a full project life cycle
- Prior Business Objects experience desired, but not required
