Time commitment: 10 hours/week. Period of employment matches the academic calendar. GIA will need to be available through the end of each semester’s exam period.
Duties include: Assisting with Adobe Connect broadcast to distance campuses during class time, proctoring exams, editing and copying exams, grade entry, general assistance with Blackboard course setup and maintenance, tracking of student attendance and grades. Other administrative or academic support duties as they arise. May occasionally provide some research support such as database searches to find needed articles, and development of annotated bibliographies.
Must have already attended or be able to attend the required TA/IA workshops hosted by the Center for Teaching Excellence and register for GRAD 701, a seminar course on TA development. This position will qualify the GA for in-state tuition.
