We are seeking two enthusiastic individuals to provide programming instruction during our CodeIT Academy, scheduled for June 22 – 26, in Columbia, South Carolina. The lab assistants will be expected to assist academy participants in the development of projects for their assigned CodeIT partners. Participants will use programming resources to create widgets, mobile app prototypes, or interactive gaming experiences. Assistants should be able to answer general questions about the resources to help participants with their project completion. Minimum Requirements Associate degree in Computer Technology or related field; OR a minimum of two years working in the IT industry; Working knowledge of Java or comparable programming language; Familiarity with one or more of the following programming resources: Scratch, ALICE, MIT App Inventor. Tutoring or supplemental instruction experience, preferably in higher education is preferred, but not required. Must be available week of June 22 – 26, from 1pm – 5pm.
