The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Fayetteville State University invites applications for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor in Computer Science to begin in August 2025. Responsibilities of the position include teaching, research, student mentoring, and university and community service. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, or a closely related field with at least 18 credit hours of computer science courses at graduate level (ABD will be considered if award of Ph.D. degree can be expected before start of employment).

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science offers B.S. degrees in Computer Science, Cyber Security, and Mathematics with approximately 550 majors.
